Our Yellow Ribbon Day on November 4, 2017 was a day of prayer and encouragement for all those that attended. Loretta Jackson, Los Angeles CKI Group Leader opened the meeting by welcoming everyone to our gathering for the Covenant Keepers Yellow Ribbon Day in California.

Loretta began by reading from Romans 4:16-21 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only those who are of the law, but also those who are the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all (as it  is written, I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed and calls those things which do not exist as though they did…

Loretta explained that as you mediate on the word of God you will see that God calls those things according to His word not as they appear but as He has said. Developing your faith to trust and to speak what God says changes the circumstances in the home whatever they may be. We should all spend time in God’s word not just for the promise but because of the relationship with the Holy Spirit, Jesus and our heavenly Father (Love).

Cherie Igo read Ezekiel 12:28: Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: ‘None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,’ says the Lord God.”  She spoke about the importance of mediating on the word and spending time worshipping and praising God. She explained how important it is to spend that time so that you will be able to see things totally differently, based on God’s word.

Jan and Rosanna Stovall attended the meeting. Jan shared with the covenant keepers how important it is to stand for their covenant spouses. It was such a blessing to hear from these two.

Lorraine Woodhouse shared about the importance of prayer and gave testimony of her restored marriage.

Every individual and their spouse were prayed for at the close of the Yellow Ribbon Day Event. After the meeting everyone enjoyed a meal together and a fun time of fellowship. It was a great day!
