Writing this report has been fun to do. Looking back a few short months ago brings fond memories of all that God did in people’s lives through the annual CKI Families Are Forever Conference,  From Now On…, held in Charlotte in July of 2018. Below is a recap of the speakers. To kick off the conference on Friday evening, Pastor Kelvin and Amy Smith gave their restored marriage testimony. Kelvin is the lead pastor at Steele Creek Church of Charlotte where the conference was held. He and Amy were both very transparent with us knowing that the CKI conference was a […]

A Covenant Keeper Tradition Continues

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • September 4, 2018

Covenant Keepers will continue our annual tradition of taking Halloween back from Satan and making it a day of fasting and prayer for our nation, our homes, and our families. Yellow Ribbon Day is observed in and around the month of October and, instead of decorating with jack-o-lanterns, we tie yellow ribbons around trees, lampposts, or on doors as a symbol that the captives have been set free! It was in 1987 that we planned the first Yellow Ribbon Day. Marilyn Conrad had been in prayer about the idea and one evening she turned on the television to watch 700 […]

  • August 8, 2018

We had the great delight of concluding our annual CKI “Families Are Forever” Conference at the Sunday morning service of Steele Creek Church of Charlotte in Charlotte, NC. During the service the pastor welcomed our group and explained to his congregation that we were people who really understood covenant and were living it out, all of us standing for covenant marriage, some standing faithfully for decades. As the service ended the pastor asked for anyone who would like to come up for prayer to come and line up across the stage with their full prayer team ready to receive them. […]

Northwest Spring Retreat

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • May 2, 2018

The Spring Retreat, March 23-25, 2018, proved to be an amazing weekend in the Northwest! Twenty-two Covenant Keepers met at Black Lake Bible Camp in Olympia, Washington. What can be said about it other than it was amazing as always. We were blessed by the Holy Spirit, and enjoyed our guest speaker, CKI Group Leader and Intercessor Marilyn Pennington, who reminded us of the power of our spoken words. After a rich Saturday of teaching and fellowship, the topper was the movie, “War Room”. It seemed to be a visual reminder of all that we had been learning during the […]

To God be all the glory and praise for uniting all our gifts, blessings and talents for His plans and purposes for our Northeast Yellow Ribbon Day. Ann Barley opened the meeting at Lancaster Bible College in Pennsylvania. She graciously greeted all attending and spoke about the college and the list of the day’s events. Claude Doucet and Bert John provided our worship songs. Nancy Conlan opened with a scripture reading (Philippians 3:14) about running the race for the goal to win the prize for which God has called us through Christ Jesus. She explained how we have both new runners […]

2017 Fall Northwest Yellow Ribbon Day

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • January 4, 2018

Twenty-three Covenant Keepers met in Newberg, Oregon on October 28. Our guest of honor was definitely the Lord Jesus, and we were blessed by His presence. We also had several different speakers during the day. Ben Routon talked from his perspective as a son of a restored marriage. He encouraged each of the CKers to stand firm and not give up. He assured them that it will be worth all of what they are going through. This was followed by Debbie Routon who shared about God’s amazing faithfulness and grace during her first year with Gary in heaven. Many attendees […]

2017 Fall Southeast YRD Retreat

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • January 4, 2018

Twenty-three people attended the SE Regional Covenant Keepers Yellow Ribbon Day Retreat in sunny Panama City Beach, Florida, November 3-5. We enjoyed praising and worshiping God, learning from several speakers (Rex and Carolyn Johnson, William and Sharon Cothron, Marilyn Pennington, Susan Marvin, and Angel Avery), fellowshipping, and praying. Charles Holland led us in receiving communion on Sunday. There is always a great sense of support and affirmation when we gather with our fellow standers. We learned Biblical principles for peacemaking and personal conflict resolution and how to move out of panic and complacency as standers. We were refreshed by God’s […]
