Relating to Others Who Do Not Have Revelation of Covenant

I recently was re-reading an old newsletter and came upon an article written by Joey Ray. It is relevant for all covenant keepers today. (I would like to encourage you to get your Bibles out to follow along. All references are from the KJV.) In Ephesians 4:2 we read, “…With all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love.” We need to remember that, especially when working with those who are not in agreement with what we’re doing (standing for the healing and restoration of our marriages and families). You know what God has shown you in […]

The Ripple Effects of Sin

One of my favorite Scriptures is found in Romans 7 through the first couple of verses in Chapter 8: “I don’t do what I know I should do and I do those things I know I should not do.” What a dilemma! Below the Scripture is quoted from The Message: Don’t you remember how it was? I do, perfectly well. The law code started out as an excellent piece of work. What happened, though, was that sin found a way to pervert the command into a temptation, making a piece of “forbidden fruit” out of it. The law code, instead […]

An Invitation to Sin No More

“The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and placing her in the midst they said to him, ‘Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?’ This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, ‘Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.’ And […]

Christ Alone…Cornerstone   The 28th annual Families Are Forever Conference was held at Steele Creek Church of Charlotte, Charlotte, North Carolina. This is the church home of our CKI Directors, Rex and Carolyn Johnson. It was a huge blessing to be welcomed by this local church and be able to use their facility. Praise and worship was led by Marcus Dilley and numerous worship team members from the church. Volunteers from the Johnson’s home cell group as well as many from the congregation rounded out the teams that made this a weekend to remember. These volunteers helped on the tech […]

Covenant for Life

By Duke Rohe The husband was a prodigal preacher and the wife was a faithful stander. Charles and Paula Blackman both stood in front of his former congregation as he repented. The wife stressed that the more she learned about covenant, the more she knew there was no other option but to stand. At the end of their testimony their three daughters stood with them as the church corporately said, “We forgive you.” As one in the congregation put it, “It’s like seeing a ‘feeding 5000’ miracle right in front of you.” Following are my notes, written as several Covenant […]

Don’t Quit

Don’t give up standing for your marriage. The price is too high. Our enemy goes around like a roaring lion seeking to devour marriages, and he receives plenty of help from popular culture (movies, songs, men’s and women’s magazines, talk shows, the press, TV, books, etc.), educators, psychologists, lawyers and the courts, celebrities, neighbors and friends, and (sad to say), even from some parts of the church. Since our marriages were designed by the Father to reflect the relationship between His Son, Jesus, and His bride(all of us), Satan knows he causes harm to the Kingdom of God by tearing […]
