CURACAO (Included with online donation) Acts 26:25 says, But Paul replied, “I am not insane, most excellent Festus. I speak words of sober truth.” I believe that this is the way the world sees us as standers and even our families BUT we continue to speak and believe words of sober truth.   USA CA: (Referring to monthly Thank You donation letter) Very interesting, Carolyn. Thanks so much. I am so blessed by the things you share. I surely am praying for the conference. I just know it will be successful as every time I have been there I am […]

As I was reviewing some old material I came across the following article written a few years ago. Some of you may remember it. I confess I wrote it in a light-hearted and joking manner – but as I reflected on it I realized that the “issues” outlined in the development of a “Stander’s App” are with us today as much as when the article first appeared. I hope reading or re-reading it brings you both a smile and some thoughtful introspection. Soon to be available for your iPhone or Android device – The Stander’s App!!! Why not? It seems […]

The Romance Died, But…

For the past month, I have tried to sit down and write a blog to update about my life here in Uganda, but I have literally had no words to share. The past month or so has been quite challenging and there’s only one way to describe it. The romance of living in Uganda has worn off. Don’t get me wrong, I still love Uganda (well, somedays) and the ministry I serve with, but living here and living with this culture has become harder and harder. For the past month, I have had no motivation to go into the village […]

USA  CA: “Praising God for His continued faithfulness and for providing me with peace and calm in the midst of a crazy, overwhelming schedule. Our son has made the baseball team at school and this has caused some challenges for my 60+ hour-a-week work schedule, but God is faithful. He has brought wonderful, helpful people into my life that are helping with transportation.” CT: CK reports that she had a good visit with her sister in Florida. As it turned out her flight home was delayed so she spent additional time there and it went very well. She also reported […]

The message below is from Dolores Porter. She and her husband Lee had a restored marriage. What a blessing for Lee to thank Dolores for standing and taking him back. Each time they attended conference you could see that Lee adored Dolores. We are also thankful that God restored their marriage and that they had many years of marriage to enjoy their life together. This is a picture of their vows spoken at a CKI conference in Tulsa. Hi Carolyn, Yes, Lee passed on January 30th. It still feels very “raw.” He passed in his sleep. Although I know he’s […]

75 Cents – Consider This

We just spent the evening with a couple who have a restored marriage. They brought along their two children – one who is about to graduate from high school and one in middle school. All evening long my mind kept wandering to what those children’s lives would look like if their parents had not decided to follow the Lord’s plan. My eyes kept watching as they played on their phones and had an enjoyable evening eating good food in the presence of both of their contented parents. The parent who was the covenant keeper made the comment they wished everyone […]

CANADA CK reported that he was finally able to get his truck fixed and the mechanic gave him a good deal on the labor. He also reported that his oldest daughter has been in touch with him when previously she had asked him for no contact.   USA CA: CK praises God for showing her son how to conduct himself in the manner of a man and not give up on his schooling. GA: CK thanks God for her CKI home group. She had an upcoming meeting with her boss that she was concerned about. Her group prayed for […]

Robyn and Macy in Uganda       Robyn – CK Mom: “Throughout the years, my prayer has been that my kids would understand the sanctity of marriage and “get” covenant. The best birthday gift I got was my daughter calling me and reading her latest thoughts on her time in Uganda. She has witnessed the brokenness of marriage first hand, but seeing broken people in another country and the consequences of sin, her perspective on marriage and singleness has solidified. “It’s so awesome when your kids just get it and this is an answer to many years […]

USA CA: “Praise has been turned up for me this last week. My spirit has been drawn to praise on my drives to and from everywhere and I feel such joy and peace in my heart. I know God is working and I’ve felt peace in letting God handle things and trust in His perfect timing. Hard to imagine that just 2 months ago I was considering ending my stand, but I think that’s why Satan tried so hard to cause anger in me. I feel like I’ve totally surrendered my marriage to God and told God I don’t even […]
