Marriage According To God’s Plan…

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • December 11, 2017

(In response to an article from a popular Christian magazine regarding the church’s role in divorce recovery). I have been divorced for five years after a beautiful 43 year marriage. My husband is a spirit-filled, talented Christian musician who was allured and enticed away by the enemy. I agree that this is definitely one of the most painful situations a person can experience. The first six months after my divorce I spent every moment possible seeking the Lord and His plan for my life. The Lord is incredibly faithful. I knew that I knew that I was to stand for the […]

2017 Fall Midwest Yellow Ribbon Day

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • December 6, 2017

Our Midwest YRD was a small gathering but “From little acorns do mighty oaks grow!” We had a wonderful time of praise, fellowship, teaching (on “Ditches” by Marilyn Pennington), prayer and food. Marilyn taught us that there are two ditches that Covenant Keepers tend to fall into, one on either side of the road we walk while we are standing for our marriages. One is the ditch of “Panic” and the other is the ditch of “Complacency.” We want to avoid either of these ditches as we walk the walk of faith for our spouses and our families. We want […]

2017 Fall – California Yellow Ribbon Day

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • December 6, 2017

Our Yellow Ribbon Day on November 4, 2017 was a day of prayer and encouragement for all those that attended. Loretta Jackson, Los Angeles CKI Group Leader opened the meeting by welcoming everyone to our gathering for the Covenant Keepers Yellow Ribbon Day in California. Loretta began by reading from Romans 4:16-21 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only those who are of the law, but also those who are the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all […]

Watch and See What I Will Do

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.

“I have called you, and anointed you, and asked you to fulfill your vows, which is no more than what you vowed on your wedding day. So many treat their vows as just words and treat as common what I have called Holy Matrimony. I am raising up My standard of Holy Matrimony in Covenant Keepers as a trophy to the world. To see My Word fulfilled comes with great sacrifice, living without your spouse and all that it entails, new families being raised in your place. I see it all and will use it all for My glory. Watch […]

How Long Do You Stand?

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • October 23, 2017

Have you ever believed God’s truth and then find the winds of disappointment and adversity begin to gust. The enemy would like to come and steal the righteous seed God has implanted in our hearts but it is our role to launch out in a faith-walk that burns away our will in the matter and proclaims His. From our vantage point, time is working against us. From God’s viewpoint, there are sequential details that He is working through – in us and in others involved. If there is healing that needs to take place, don’t fleshly rush the process nor give up hope because […]

How to Survive the Hurricane of Divorce

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • October 2, 2017

With all the major hurricanes experienced in America this last month I noticed something about the surviving trees. They looked really beat up but they were still standing upright.  And even though most of their leaves had been stripped away by the wind they were still alive. These trees bear a resemblance to covenant keepers. So I did a little research on trees that survive hurricanes. Here are a few points: Well pruned trees survive hurricanes better than unpruned or poorly pruned trees. The pruning process is a painful process but necessary in our Christian life if we are to […]

The Ten Commitments

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • September 25, 2017

Sounds like a major theater production, doesn’t it? As we get more focused in our walk with the Lord, we discover that the covenants of God were not made lightly. They were forever promises. Some had conditions, some not. But they were irreversible when they were made. They were a statement of God’s heart toward mankind. They were a display of His integrity. We ought to all establish our own personal set of Ten Commandments for ourselves. They would be our Ten Commitments with which we judge ourselves. That we might grow closer to our Lord. It’s one thing to […]

My Journey of Faith

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • August 30, 2017

Our dear intercessor from California, Lorraine Woodhouse, has been on a journey of faith the last couple of years trusting God to help her write a book. The title of her book, My Journey of Faith, is truly how she has lived her life for decades. We at the CKI office asked her to tell us the process she has walked through as she was obedient to God’s call. These are her words: My Journey of Faith I wrote this book at the urging of many friends with whom I shared some experiences and disciplines from the Lord and because […]

Helpful Tidbits for Keeping Covenant

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • July 31, 2017

Forgiveness is not an option, it is a commandment.   I forgive for my sake. Unforgiveness is a sin and I do not want to be separated from the Lord.   There is freedom in forgiveness.   Making a decision to forgive in advance will allow me to not take on an offense.   God does not give me the ability to take on other people’s offense; He only gives me the ability to forgive in the area where I have been offended.   Love is a decision just as forgiveness is a decision.   According to Philippians 4:7-9 I […]

Letter from a Leader to a New Stander

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • June 28, 2017

Dear Friend, We can feel your pain. We thank God that you were able to contact the CKI ministry. We are a family and you can be sure that we are praying for you and for your spouse. You shared the following: “I am feeling empty, hurt, humiliated and angry. I just want to leave everything behind and go somewhere and start all over. Why do I have to pray for my husband who did all those things to me? He is enjoying life while I am the one suffering. If God does hate divorce why did He allow this to […]
