When You Don’t Know What to Pray

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.

Have you ever been so burdened by a problem that you say “I just don’t even know what to pray?” When the circumstances of life seem too big or complex to comprehend, shift your focus to who God is by praying God’s character. For every circumstance I believe and proclaim… God is sovereign. All authority and all power is His. Matthew 28:18. Nothing takes Him by surprise. All circumstances serve Him. God knows the end from the beginning. Psalms 119:91, Isa 46:9-10. His word is forever settled in heaven. Psalms 119:89. God does all things for our good and His […]

A Crown for a Hat

Joyce Hasty has graduated to heaven. This is a great loss to our CKI family and she will be greatly missed. Joyce joined my CKI group early in the 80s and remained a friend until she died in December 2018. I was privileged to be the one who prayed with her the day she received her prayer language after a CKI meeting.  She was a faithful CKI meeting attendee and was often quite a character at the meetings. She always had something funny to tell us about her situation while being a quick learner of things to do or not […]

Who am I, Lord?

A relevant topic warrants repeating, so this month we are revisiting a topic from some years ago. Most mornings in the growing season you will find me outside shortly after dawn watering my garden veggies and flowers, then sitting on the back patio to read a daily Bible reading and to “contemplate life.” For several days this past season, the question “Who am I, Lord?” was persistently on my mind. I have learned that when thoughts are persistent I should pay attention. It could be something I need to address in my own relationship with the Lord or with Carolyn. […]

I Am Standing for the Healing of Our Marriage

Sponsored by The King’s Gardeners Ministries, Spokane Valley, Washington I am standing for the healing of our marriage. I have been ridiculed for my stand by some who claim to be spiritually related to me and have been told that some of the members of my church think I am absolutely crazy. My reply to their criticism is, “They thought Noah was crazy for 120 years, but he floated and the critics drowned!” God hates divorce and we are to hate what God hates. He even hates separation. Separation and divorce are accepted by a society built on the devil’s […]

Look What God is Doing

Canada CK had lots for which to praise the Lord after several weeks of visiting with family. Her husband was there too and thanked CK’s brother for taking good care of her. Soon after that, she was at a church event with other women where she was able to share about covenant marriage with one woman whose husband had recently left. She saw that her words were like water to a dry plant. Then, coming home, she was able to contact her daughter-in-law for the first time in a long time. Usually, she doesn’t know what to talk […]

Featuring a new book, Lorraine’s Journey of Faith, about marriage healing and restoration.  See what other people are saying: PA: Lorraine, I finally had time today to start and finish your book on our fasting day. What a blessing it was to me. Your scriptures and faith stood out to me time and time again to minister to my soul and my heart which was actually hurting this morning. My heart feels a whole lot better and my spirit is much stronger. I can face what I still need to face. Thank you so much. I just want to […]

The Door… Shut and Locked

It is quite normal for a Covenant Keeper to experience being with their spouse’s family for various reasons. Family members get sick and a hospital visit is the right thing to do. Children have birthdays and graduations from high school and college with a family gathering to celebrate an accomplishment. A family member dies and there is a funeral to attend. There will be reasons why you, your spouse and your spouse’s family will be together and many times this gathering happens in a small space making it impossible to ignore anyone. Often your spouse will be there with the […]

The Value of Keeping Covenant

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.

There’s a particular moment I will never forget. My husband and I were stationed with the Navy in San Diego and we attended a chapel service where we heard a missionary family sing, “Whatever it takes to draw closer to you, Lord; that’s what I’ll be willing to do.” That song struck my heart and dug deep into my soul as I sang along in my heart. In the years that followed my beloved and I followed the Lord and our commitment to Christ as best we knew how. We enjoyed a good, happy life, even though there were many […]

Have you ever had an event or series of events that were so frustrating that you wanted to pull your hair out by the roots? Of course you have. At the end when the circumstance was resolved have you seen the hand of God in the process or result? As I write this our annual CKI Families Are Forever conference has just been completed and the time seemed to fly by with all the activities of planning, coordinating and executing the conference. Because we usually print a lot of materials to prepare for the conference we needed to have the […]
