The Lifeline of CKI – The Widow’s Mite

There have been many healed marriages and many a broken heart mended in the Covenant Keepers ministry. It has been an incredible lifeline for me as it has taught me so much and has helped me stay on course to break this generational curse of divorce off of my family. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Covenant Keepers national conferences as well as the regional conferences where I have made many lifelong friends. There is a desperate need for marriage restoration ministries in this world. Teaching on marriage restoration has to paddle upstream against the tide of teachings in the church and […]

The Story of Two Christmas Trees

Rex and I just finished the process of putting up the Christmas decorations at our house. Have you ever noticed that before you can sit back and enjoy the beauty of the finished product you usually have a big mess all over the house? First, you have to get all the boxes of decorations from storage – wherever that might be. And many times this storage area is not convenient. Depending upon the home where we lived that storage area has been the attic area over the garage, in the garage stacked behind other more often used boxes, in the […]

A “Will Do” God

Do you remember when you were a child and your earthly father promised to do something or take you somewhere, but for some reason he couldn’t do it or he didn’t do it? You would say, “But you promised!” Well, we have a heavenly Father who promised and WILL DO. We can go to Him and say, “You promised that those who fear the commandment of the Lord will be rewarded. You promised that he who walks with wise men will be wise. You promised that a good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of […]

Fruit of the Spirit

Galatians Chapter 5 Love – This is the unconditional, one-flesh love that is not broken by action or deed of the other person. It is the commitment to serve my loved one in the Lord through anything. I will take on the mind of Christ and agree that “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.” I repent of past thoughts and deeds that operated out of the flesh and did not exhibit this ever-giving fruit. Joy – This is a result of the abiding in the love of God. Through Him who loved us, we overwhelmingly conquer. And “neither […]

On Which River Do YOU Live?

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.

While teaching in Africa once, the Lord gave me a picture depicting the management of financial resources. I saw a huge snowfield in the mountains with virtually an infinite supply of water. There were three rivers emanating from this snowfield. On the first river, lived a man whose experience of life was such that he never quite had enough water. Life experiences had confirmed that to him. So, what did he do with the water coming down the river? He built a dam in the river, and collected all the water that he possibly could. No water was ever able […]

Giving

Giving is one of the best rewards you can give yourself. It is the prerequisite for experiencing the fullness of living. We are creatures designed for giving. Giving is a personal template from God. “For God so loved the world He gave…” It is taking what you have and offering it to another so that they may gain. Giving grows in its value depending on the price paid to give it. It adds life to another. It is the wellspring that blesses both the giver and the receiver. It has untold worth that ripples through the lives of those touched […]

Give/Live or……If You Give You Live; If You Don’t You Won’t

If people could only understand the joy in this statement, they would be most liberated. They would be free to live life fully. This was the ‘aha’ advice I learned and passed along to my first graduating son. The funny thing is, giving has little to do with money; it has everything to do with motive. God always starts us from where we are, then grows us from there. Sowing and reaping. This is an agricultural principle that applies throughout life. If you plant bean seeds, you will grow beans. If you put seed in the ground, you’ll grow more […]

Love Doesn’t Want You to Change

Love doesn’t want you to change; it just wants you to choose to change. Love allows another to be them self. It’s care-ing them through the tough and difficult time. Love sticks closer than a bother. It stands at the doorstep of input and asks for an invitation. Love honors integrity and commitment. It sees value in the eternal over the temporal; in the internal more than the exterior. Love puts feelings in their place; underfoot of what’s honorable. Love sees itself as a friend to those who wouldn’t befriend themselves. It outlasts what would cause it to quit. Love […]

Befriend Someone

To appreciate more… I do an annual Christmas run to a hospital where I formally worked to give candy out to the nurses who work the popular holidays on the unpopular shift. They now expect me each year and thank me for thinking of them. The tradition of doing this began the year I endured the tragedy of divorce. A preacher that season laid down a challenge to go out and do something for someone without a possibility of a return – that if you need help yourself, go out and help somebody else. This is the essence of love. […]

Growing in Maturity

Recently I drove down one of our major streets to the pharmacy. I saw a spectacular sight. A huge wrecking ball was destroying a 50 year old bridge which spanned two streets and connects the interstate with other cities. The stone crumbled easily against the weight of that mighty ball. I stopped and watched and I heard in my spirit, “That is an old, eroded, disintegrated piece of concrete that needed to be replaced for protection of the travelers. It is inventory time for believers to tear down and rebuild the bridges in their lives which connect them to me […]
