Who am I, Lord?

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.

A relevant topic warrants repeating, so this month we are revisiting a topic from some years ago. Most mornings in the growing season you will find me outside shortly after dawn watering my garden veggies and flowers, then sitting on the back patio to read a daily Bible reading and to “contemplate life.” For several days this past season, the question “Who am I, Lord?” was persistently on my mind. I have learned that when thoughts are persistent I should pay attention. It could be something I need to address in my own relationship with the Lord or with Carolyn. […]

  • November 1, 2018

A Refreshing for Body, Soul, and Spirit The Southeast Regional Fall Retreat was held at beautiful Joy Mountain where 22 of us enjoyed the gorgeous green foliage and 85 degree weather! It was a wonderful time to fellowship with one another and enjoy the beauty all around us. Here are some of the highlights: Our SE Director, Susan Marvin, taught, “Life Renovations: Jesus Wonderful Counselor,” and had us read scripture and ask God personal questions. We encouraged one another as we shared what God had spoken to our hearts about His Word. Marilyn Pennington, CKI group leader from GA, taught, […]

Look What God is Doing

Canada CK had lots for which to praise the Lord after several weeks of visiting with family. Her husband was there too and thanked CK’s brother for taking good care of her. Soon after that, she was at a church event with other women where she was able to share about covenant marriage with one woman whose husband had recently left. She saw that her words were like water to a dry plant. Then, coming home, she was able to contact her daughter-in-law for the first time in a long time. Usually, she doesn’t know what to talk […]

WISDOM AND REVELATION

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • October 18, 2018

The Word says in James, “If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God (Who gives) to every one liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him. Only it must be in faith that he asks, with no wavering – no hesitating, no doubting.” Pray these scriptures for yourself and your loved ones: Psalm 25:4-5 “Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.” […]

HANDLING THE HURT I. Deal honestly with your emotions. A. Tell God just what you are feeling. B. Release hurt to God so healing can be released to you. (Matt 11:28-30; 1 Peter 5:7; Psa 55:22) C. Encourage yourself in the Lord. (Psa 119:49-50 & Psa 119:107 (NKJV); Rom 15:4 (New Eng)) II. Avoid Satan’s trap of judgment. (John 20:23 (NKJV)) A. Only God has the right to judge others. Freedom from Your Past

Below is a message we are using with permission from Jimmy Evans at MarriageToday. The message can be applied to many situations CKs find in their lives today. Pray and ask Jesus if this relates to your life. “Karen and I have wonderful parents and in-laws, but let’s face it: No parent is perfect. The imperfect parenting individuals experience while growing up leads to baggage that can harm our marriages. “The two most prominent types of baggage are iniquities and inner vows. “Iniquities. Exodus 34:7 tells of how God inflicts “the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to […]

The Value of Keeping Covenant

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • September 11, 2018

There’s a particular moment I will never forget. My husband and I were stationed with the Navy in San Diego and we attended a chapel service where we heard a missionary family sing, “Whatever it takes to draw closer to you, Lord; that’s what I’ll be willing to do.” That song struck my heart and dug deep into my soul as I sang along in my heart. In the years that followed my beloved and I followed the Lord and our commitment to Christ as best we knew how. We enjoyed a good, happy life, even though there were many […]

A Covenant Keeper Tradition Continues

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • September 4, 2018

Covenant Keepers will continue our annual tradition of taking Halloween back from Satan and making it a day of fasting and prayer for our nation, our homes, and our families. Yellow Ribbon Day is observed in and around the month of October and, instead of decorating with jack-o-lanterns, we tie yellow ribbons around trees, lampposts, or on doors as a symbol that the captives have been set free! It was in 1987 that we planned the first Yellow Ribbon Day. Marilyn Conrad had been in prayer about the idea and one evening she turned on the television to watch 700 […]

Living

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • August 27, 2018

This is more than just mere existence. It is taking what you have and learning how to make the most of it. It is breathing in what is around you and appreciating every minute of it. Living is seeing its Author and knowing all things work together for good to them who love Him. Living is having both ups and downs and knowing each are two sides of the same coin. Each has their purpose in developing character. Living can take what the world calls dirt and turn it into the potting soil of faith for greater things. It is […]
