2017 Fall Midwest Yellow Ribbon Day

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.

Our Midwest YRD was a small gathering but “From little acorns do mighty oaks grow!” We had a wonderful time of praise, fellowship, teaching (on “Ditches” by Marilyn Pennington), prayer and food. Marilyn taught us that there are two ditches that Covenant Keepers tend to fall into, one on either side of the road we walk while we are standing for our marriages. One is the ditch of “Panic” and the other is the ditch of “Complacency.” We want to avoid either of these ditches as we walk the walk of faith for our spouses and our families. We want […]

2017 Fall – California Yellow Ribbon Day

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • December 6, 2017

Our Yellow Ribbon Day on November 4, 2017 was a day of prayer and encouragement for all those that attended. Loretta Jackson, Los Angeles CKI Group Leader opened the meeting by welcoming everyone to our gathering for the Covenant Keepers Yellow Ribbon Day in California. Loretta began by reading from Romans 4:16-21 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only those who are of the law, but also those who are the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all […]

Right This Way

My son-in-law, Scott Toal, writes a blog titled “Better Blessings.” Often while reading his blog I think of all the covenant keepers around the world who would benefit from what he says and I will store that specific post in a folder titled “CK.” Below is one such post: “Sometimes we may need help finding the love of God. Not that God would hide His love, but sometimes it is difficult for us to find even something as immense as God’s love for us. “Think of it as a theater with the house lights down and the stage lights up. Faith Is Always Forged in the Fire

“…when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8b Years ago when I was standing for the healing of our marriage, I had no idea what God was doing. I was dealing with pain, rejection, and shame. I wanted to be whole and healthy and I wanted to see my marriage healed. Looking back now I realize how limited my vision was and how small I had made our God. While I approached my situation from a somewhat selfish point of view, God was looking at it with a much larger vision. Back […]

Choose Joy!

The joy of the Lord is my strength. Nehemiah 8:10 The breakup of a family is a very painful thing. All kinds of horrific thoughts go through our minds when we are given the “bad news” that our marriages are being torn asunder. Just a few of the words that come to mind are shock, despair, tremendous fear and disbelief. The Bible says that there is a time to mourn and I believe that it does take some time to grasp the enormity of the problems that must be faced. Some people never get over it and chose to live […]

  • November 30, 2016

The Northeast Region met for our Yellow Ribbon Day on Saturday, November 5th at the home of Koji and Deana Bell in Telford, PA. All of us were warmly welcomed by the Bells and immediately felt at home in the comforting, guiding presence of the Holy Spirit. First we shared snacks and visited, catching up with each other and finding out what the Lord has been doing in our lives. We were so blessed just to be together. Alberta, Starr, Mary, Esther and Colleen came from towns in Pennsylvania. Nancy, Pat and Marjie drove down from Connecticut. Mary Lou came over […]

Jesus Binds Us Together!

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • March 8, 2016

We’ve been married 46 years. The first three years were very stormy until we gave our lives to Jesus Christ. We are both strong-willed people and God is the only One who can control us! We realized we needed Him in our lives! Adding to our individual times with the Lord, we began daily Bible reading and prayer together. When we saw how much it helped us to grow in our relationship with the Lord and one another, we continued this special time through the days and years. These devotional times with prayer have kept us together! In the morning […]

The CKI ministry staff wishes you Merry Christmas and many blessings for this coming year. We pray that these days are filled with love, joy, and peace for you as you take time to honor the birth of Christ. We love the picture of your life as it is described in Isaiah 64:2-4 “…And you will be called something new, something brand new, a name given by none other than the Eternal One. And you will be the crowning glory of the Eternal’s power, a royal crown cradled in His palm and held aloft by your God for all to […]

What Do You Want in the New Year?

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • December 21, 2015

Let’s see where God is on that matter. Does God… settle for 2nd best? give up pursuing? cease loving? finish forgiving? stop believing a heart will change for good? faint in the face of rejection? tire from doing good? give up on any of His? stop believing the best? retreat in battle? wrestle with the flesh? feel sorry for Himself? back off from His promises? withhold Himself from others? Well, then neither will I. I Want I want God to be all that I’m missing. I want to love without reservation. I want to be reined in by Him. I […]

SE Regional Retreat – Joy Mountain NC

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • November 3, 2015

Joy Mountain was great good fun! We called on God to take charge and He sure did! We had a full house in that beautiful facility near Hot Springs, North Carolina. We had perfect weather. The fellowship was wonderful, the speakers were anointed, the worship was anointed and the home cooking was delicious. On Friday, Susan Marvin spoke about how a covenant keeper can wash their spouse’s feet by respecting and loving the spouse while they are in the far country. That night we also had a marvelous time celebrating Rex and Carolyn’s 50th wedding anniversary. Rex and Carolyn’s daughter […]
