From Faith to Faith Praying
Father, I ask Your favor on a people who want Your will to flow through their lives. Build us up in Your way, Your timing and Your strength. Our hearts long for the restoration of a covenant marriage that has its origin in Your presence. The “I do” was to a loving spouse and an even more loving God. Lord, we ask Your staying power to grow us into the spouses You always intended us to be. Mercy-giving, harder-caring, ever-loving, totally-tuned to Your prompting. Help us to surrender the idols of our past hurts, our current circumstances and our future worries […]Read More
A Word from the Intercessors about Praise
Early in 2017, one of our precious intercessors, Lorraine Woodhouse, shared with the rest of us something that she thought the Lord was speaking to her about. It was a simple message, “Praise Me more.” When she talked to us about how the Lord was encouraging her to praise and worship Him more, it witnessed to all of us as well. As we continued to talk about this, it became evident that the Lord was leading us to change our prayer and intercession time to focus on Him and what He is doing and to praise Him about our answers […]Read More
Always Giving Praise
Marilyn Conrad, the founder of Covenant Keepers, is my friend, my teacher and a great example of a woman of faith. In the 1980s she certainly went against the grain of our church culture when she proclaimed that God not only wanted to restore broken marriages, but in fact would, if one would trust Him for the impossible. At some point, while trusting God for this miracle, each of us has suffered persecution. It is not popular with the church, our families or our friends. But she persevered. Her husband married different women during all of these years. She persevered. […]Read More
So How Was Your Mother’s Day…According To Facebook?
If your initial reaction to that question was, “Ugh!” or “Exactly!” then I know I am in good company of Facebook followers. There is nothing wrong with Facebook itself. I have caught up and shared pictures with family, school friends and even neighbors over the years that time and busy schedules have prevented. Covenant Keepers, Inc. has a fantastic private Facebook page that gives CKs another avenue of communication and support among the CKI family. (Email the CKI office at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to join the private page.) But because we are still human, we mess things up […]Read More
Nothing Is Hopeless
Below is an article written by an Atlanta CK. Even though you might find yourself in what others call a hopeless situation, with God there is always hope – a destroyed relationship restored by God’s grace, a dead marriage raised to new life. May you be encouraged by the written Word of God. There is nothing hopeless with God. Even when things look “dead as a doornail” and extremely dismal – God says that with Him ALL THINGS are possible! (Mark 10:27, Jeremiah 32:17) He brought His Son Jesus forth from a virgin. He looked out into the void and […]Read More
Praises to our LORD! For He is the reason my wife and I are back together! My children prayed for us, but part of them never thought this would happen! My only explanation is GOD has and is restoring us! There is so much to say and so much to testify to give GLORY AND HONOR to the Lord! (A brief background- Laura and I were married for 15 years in the Catholic Church and active members in church for a while, but allowed our marriage to slowly fall apart in many different ways by neglect and improper priorities. For […]Read More
Where Do You Find Your Identity?
(lessons in 1 John) I resolve to add life to my covenant keeping brothers and sisters in Christ, and no longer allow myself nor them to wallow in self-pity. Not that there aren’t trying times or hurdles to jump, but we must always remember that these setbacks do not impact our spirit. We need to identify with the spirit man in us, that incorruptible seed God has planted within. Not the soul that grabs hold of the darkness and whips us into fear and frenzy. “God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5) […]Read More
What Do You Want in the New Year?
Let’s see where God is on that matter. Does God… settle for 2nd best? give up pursuing? cease loving? finish forgiving? stop believing a heart will change for good? faint in the face of rejection? tire from doing good? give up on any of His? stop believing the best? retreat in battle? wrestle with the flesh? feel sorry for Himself? back off from His promises? withhold Himself from others? Well, then neither will I. I Want I want God to be all that I’m missing. I want to love without reservation. I want to be reined in by Him. I […]Read More
SE Regional Retreat – Joy Mountain NC
Joy Mountain was great good fun! We called on God to take charge and He sure did! We had a full house in that beautiful facility near Hot Springs, North Carolina. We had perfect weather. The fellowship was wonderful, the speakers were anointed, the worship was anointed and the home cooking was delicious. On Friday, Susan Marvin spoke about how a covenant keeper can wash their spouse’s feet by respecting and loving the spouse while they are in the far country. That night we also had a marvelous time celebrating Rex and Carolyn’s 50th wedding anniversary. Rex and Carolyn’s daughter […]Read More
A “Will Do” God
Do you remember when you were a child and your earthly father promised to do something or take you somewhere, but for some reason he couldn’t do it or he didn’t do it? You would say, “But you promised!” Well, we have a heavenly Father who promised and WILL DO. We can go to Him and say, “You promised that those who fear the commandment of the Lord will be rewarded. You promised that he who walks with wise men will be wise. You promised that a good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of […]Read More
