Pacific Northwest Retreat

The Northwest Covenant Keepers’ annual retreat was held March 22-24 at Black Lake Bible Camp in Olympia, WA. Twenty-five attendees from Oregon, Washington, and Canada enjoyed being together in the amazing presence of the Lord. The group was especially blessed to have been joined by CKI Directors, Rex and Carolyn Johnson. The beautiful worship, book reviews, and door prizes added even more joy to the weekend of fellowship. The highlight of the retreat was the restored marriage testimony of Paul and Cynthia Beck.   Each CKer could identify with the account of their marriage “falling apart,” but their story of returning […]

Success is…

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • March 26, 2019

Success is taking every thought that is generated from past hurt captive and purifying it with the mercy-giving blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Success is realizing that being alone with God isn’t so lonely. Success is receiving life’s circumstances as a personal challenge from the Lord, to utterly rely on Him regardless of the situation. Success is running first to the Lord Jesus with my cries for help, instead of to a friend who could never stand as God’s proxy. Success is carrying on a conversation with my spouse that is noise-free of past mistakes or personal justification. Success […]

Spirit of Abortion

This is an article previously written by Marilyn in 2001. Perhaps you had a dream to do something for God and you put time, effort and prayer into the project and it failed. Perhaps your relationships never seem to endure. They are short-lived both loved ones and friends. Something always happens to hinder your relationships such as strife or disappoint. Maybe you seem to labor under unstable living conditions. You sow much time and energy into jobs or other financial projects and they never seem to work out. Many others have lost job after job and your living conditions are terrible. […]

Another Prayer Warrior Joins the Heavenly Chorus

My first remembrance of Helen Turner was when she joined my CKI group in Tulsa. Helen taught school with Joyce Hasty and as they became friends Joyce realized that Helen was a covenant keeper, so she began attending my Monday night CK meetings with Joyce. Helen had one of the most unusual sounding prayer languages I had ever heard. I remember talking with Marilyn Conrad about it and she assured me that it was the real thing. The sound of Helen’s prayer language really created problems until one day a missionary visiting Victory Church told Helen that he understood her […]

How Badly Do You Want To Know The Truth?

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • November 27, 2018

Are you willing to set aside all your filters and allow something new or foreign to come in? Are you willing to empty yourself of that which merely occupies in order to receive that which fully satisfies? Are you willing to get up on the Cross and stay there until all the impurities and toxins are burned away? Do you desire to know what God knows and follow His time-released path — one step at a time? Are you willing to forsake all others in order to achieve a great Prize? Do you trust Him to take care of all […]

Thanksgiving and Praise – an Offensive Weapon

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • November 22, 2018

I’ve been thinking about all the things each of us has for which we should be thankful. It is always amazing to me that, when a group of people is asked why they are thankful, the room fills with silence. May this never happen to our CKI family! There are hundreds of reasons why each of us should continually be in a posture to give our Jesus praise. Even if you do not have a thankful heart, you can choose to rejoice in all that Jesus has done for you. Think of praise as an offensive weapon that should be […]

The Door… Shut and Locked

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.

It is quite normal for a Covenant Keeper to experience being with their spouse’s family for various reasons. Family members get sick and a hospital visit is the right thing to do. Children have birthdays and graduations from high school and college with a family gathering to celebrate an accomplishment. A family member dies and there is a funeral to attend. There will be reasons why you, your spouse and your spouse’s family will be together and many times this gathering happens in a small space making it impossible to ignore anyone. Often your spouse will be there with the […]

Scripture Prayers For Covenant Keepers

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.
  • August 11, 2018

Proverbs 18:21 states that there is life and death in the power of the tongue. The tongue can be used for good or evil. We can speak about our bad circumstances or we can speak God’s Word over the circumstances. We encourage speaking God’s Word out loud daily. By speaking God’s Word the mind will be renewed, the spirit man will be strengthened and faith will grow. “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17 KJV) In the beginning as we speak God’s Word over our families and homes we may feel like we’re being […]

Snapshot of “Families Are Forever – From Now On” Conference

  • August 8, 2018

We had the great delight of concluding our annual CKI “Families Are Forever” Conference at the Sunday morning service of Steele Creek Church of Charlotte in Charlotte, NC. During the service the pastor welcomed our group and explained to his congregation that we were people who really understood covenant and were living it out, all of us standing for covenant marriage, some standing faithfully for decades. As the service ended the pastor asked for anyone who would like to come up for prayer to come and line up across the stage with their full prayer team ready to receive them. […]

We Can Rebuild Our Marriage If We Put God At The Center

  • By Covenant Keepers, Inc.

Prayers get answered. Don’t let anyone or anything make you think otherwise. Never ever doubt that your prayers are being heard and that our God is working for those who love Him. I have prayed for general changes in my marriage but the specific prayers are the ones I have found are the ones God answered. I have prayed for God to work in me. Those prayers started in November of 2010 right after my wife and I separated. I knew “we” had problems, issues, etc., but I also found that I alone could not change the problems “we” had […]
